We are looking for another lake in canada to make a trip too. Looking for something a couple hours in from fort frances that we can drive to. Does anyone have any reccomendations for a lake or resort in that area?? We dont care what we catch, just want to head back up.

My buddie has a place just n. of Fort Francis and they pounded smallies and eyes this weekend. I'll get a name for you.
The black flies are out in full force so have some netting to save your blood.

UPNORTH,I'll be up at Perrault Falls in 2 weeks on Cliff Lake.Lots of good Lakes with landings on the Highway.Cedar Lake has good fishing for about anything.I fish Cliff because it has the 54" limit for Muskies.Checked and all Resorts that I know of are booked.

bobmusky-

I had checked out cliff lake, we drove by it on the way to ear falls this last weekend, sure is a scenic lake. It was like glass when we drove by, looked awesome. Do you usually do well there?

Do REAL good on this Lake.Last year we caught 7 Musky's between 45-49" in the area you saw from the road,,,,this was all in 1 hour's time.Caught Walleyes til our wrists were swelled.I like the Lake for Lake Trout too,Trolling help's to calm the savage beast. Can't get lost on the Lake ,,it's shaped like a"H".We,ve been up there for 5 years and haven't had a bad year yet.Otherwise I fly out of Vermillion Bay with Bob at Wilderness Air.

Lost Bay Resort on Cliff Lake,Doug and Bev will do Anything for you.Their son has caught a 60" Musky there.Jerry and Ellies Resort on Cedar Lake,Acrossed The road from Cliff Lake, great people who go all the way for you.Manotak Lodge to the south is owned by a husband and wife from my town of New London and they to go all the way to help and please.Hopefully these will help.Steve Herbick, the owner of Andy Meyer's Lodge on Eagle Lake takes a lot of his clients to Cliff Lake and he's a former Northern WI> Musky Guide.
