Well, it's starting to get colder out. Heard it is really going to get cold next week. Fishing has been good. Been catching them pretty deep using jigheads tipped with chubs. Tried North for a while on Saturday, then headed for Gull. Caught most of the fish on Gull. Water temps are in the mid to upper 50's. That's going to only get colder and the fish should only get bigger.
Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
