Fishing, in my opinion, on Winnie has been slow. They just had a contest up there this last weekend and the winners did okay, but most everyone else did pretty bad. They went by total lbs. Here are the results...
Winner - 8.9lbs. with one big eel pout Runner Up - 7lbs. perch 3rd - 6.8lbs. perch. 4th - 3.9lbs. perch and a pike 4th - 3.9lbs. perch 5th - 3.0 lbs. of perch and a tulibe
So if the 5th place winner caught only 3 lbs, they were either small or they caught just a few. I assume that there were probably a couple of hundred entries. If these were the top catches... well, you do the math. Seems a little slow to me.

People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
