Dice-

Check out the Mn DNR web site. Your information should be listed there. I see you are from Gilbert! What lakes do you spend your most time on? I have done great on ore-be-gon in years past but this last summer it was pretty poor.

You can get all you want at Alice's Restaurant,oh ya....

Hey dice you can get topo maps ,air photos shot by the DNR during fall to show the foiliage color differences.Stocking reports, gill net surveys and there is also a lake study summary explaining the history of the lake. Keep in mind that only lakes with DNR ramps have this info.

There is not to many lakes you can't find on the dnr site, of course some of the surveys might be from the 50's, but they are ussually there. Make sure you check the year of survey it has screwed me before trying to get to a remote lake that they say is a road by it. It was a logging road from the 50's also. Non existent in the 90's. Got lost, eating alive, no fishing at all! It was fun.

Dice-

I live out in Iron. I have been there from opener through the fall. We usually do our best with a slip bobber and a bare glow hook set 6-8 feet down. Best time is usually that hour before dark, however we have done great at sunrise as well. Usually when they come in to feed and you see them role, we cast at them and 9 times out of 10 they will bite. Fishing from shore all along the back side by sparta. There is three easily accessible spots back there. Two years ago on opener 2 of us limited out on vermillion in the morn, ore-be-gon by about 4, and then we went to anotehr local lake and caught all the crappies a guy could want.

I never listed what school because of some of the comments I made about the building and my boss. I guess I would rather have that remain anonymous.
