Hi Guys and Gals. Thanks for the great responses to my first post. I appreciate it. I got a call from a fishing buddy of mine in Texas who I turned on to the tube jig. these are graet spring lures and catch everything that swims. Their small profile and quite delivery makes them very effective in shallow and clear water. I use the 2-inch size with a 1/16 jig. On 2 pound line they casy a mile.( they do ok on 4 pound line as well) The various colors work well in matching whatever small forage is in any particular water system. Like any jig they are versatile in use from very slow to skimming the surface. In spring here in The great white north I suggest natural colors: pumkinseed is very strong around here. Any way good luck my friends and I hope to see you on the water!
People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
