I would suggest doing what I did today, going out in the yard with an old plug, WITHOUT the hooks of course and casting it and practicing.. don't go for long casts.. I sure didn't.. 60 feet was about my max. For the tubes and texas rigs I plan on using it for that's plenty far for me.. I just have to work on my aim some but I'll save that for the water.
It overall went pretty well, I only had to walk off a backlack twice.. and then it wasn't major at all because I had alreayd figured out the bait's 'drop weight'. Now I have to figure out what the mag bal (magnet balance maybe??) dial on the side does.. it didn't seem to effect much of anything either way. Is it something to do with drag besides the wheel drag?
Even a BAD day of fishing is better than a good day of work; paydays excluded! My Photography Website, includes sports and outdoors pictures My Photos Blog, I update my website in blog entries.
