Fisher,
Those pics are great!!! It looks like the water is a little low in the local fishing hole, with all that mud. Let's hope for some rain to fill that pond back up smile smiley

You are exactly right Crappie Keith. My daughter can fish the 2 boys into a hole. She has a pit bull determination and LOVES to cross a fishes eyes for it. She threw down a challenge that day to her older brother ,she said "First one to land 20 fish wins--last one to twenty is a total loser with a big L on their forehead". Heaven help me when she becomes a teenager!

I have been getting some emails on these pics. Seems some are complaining about the bass being out of season. Well, that's true, if these were caught in Minnesota, but they were caught somewhere down south. I don't remember where. Fisher sent them in and mentioned it. Grass looks pretty green, don't it?

OH MY STARS--TAKE BASS OUT OF SEASON ?????!!!!!!!!!
PERISH THE THOUGHT !!!!!!!!!

Webdude is right. I am fortunate enough to live both south and north. I pretty much spend all fall/winter/spring in Missouri and come north for the summer.

These fish were caught by my kids on April 15 close to our house , about 60 miles from Branson, Misouri. Please note the green grass, early leafing on the trees, and that the kids are in shorts even though it is raining in some of the pics. Was mid 70's that day.

FYI--we caught 105 bass and bluegill that day. ALL were released except the 10 or so on the stringer picture. Those were only kept because the owner of the small lake wants us to keep a certain amount to help keep insurance of the size of fish in the watershed. Apart from this specific lake, where the OWNER REQUESTS we keep these fish, I NEVER keep a bass---in fact I am 100% catch and release on all species (walleye, crappie included) except on this specific fishery.

Hope that clears it up a bit. Under no circumstances would I want to set a bad example for others, in particular my kids.

Good Fishing,
