Had a friend take me and the kids to his lake house in southern Ga. yesterday. We just fished off his dock. We chummed up the water by throwing oatmeal down to attract shiners and ultra lights with small balled up bread on the hooks to catch em. These shiners were huge, 8-10 inches. The kids had a blast. Once we caught the first shiner, I threw it out there with a bobber. Not 10 minutes later, Boom, our first bass. 9 lbs! I hope everyone has a good Easter! Tight lines and good fishing to all MyFishingPals and we'll see you on opener!
If you've got short, stubby fingers and wear reading glasses, any relaxation you would normally derive from fly fishing is completely eliminated when you try to tie on a fly. ~ Jack Ohman, Fear of Fly Fishing, 1988
