Webdude, I'm taking my kids out this weekend to hunt down some crappies, we live over in Blaine and I was planning on going over to peltier but maybe we'll try Bald Eagle, can you fess up where the crappies might be hiding on Bald eagle..?
Welcome to My Fishing Pals. Glad to have you aboard!
This time of year, the water is a bit warmer on the northern shores of all lakes. That is usually where you will find the crappies hanging. On Bald Eagle, there is a bay on the north side that can be pretty good. I usually fish from the weed line down to about 14 feet 'til I find them. In other words, start by the weeds towards the tip of that bay and work your way out to deeper water 'til you locate them. If that doesn't work, try the west side of that bay doing the same thing. Here is a shot of that bay...
People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
