Hey all.

This is just a Thank you to everyone involved here, especially Webdude. This forum is by far, the best I have come across for these couple of reasons.

1. I visted a large forum for a short time. With lots of big name local pros with thousands and thousands of posts. I had posted the same question regarding my X67-C vs FL-10 issue. With all of the thousands of visitors and posters, how many replies? A big fat 0! Here, the post was answered in a matter of moments.

2. The people here rock. Everyone is freindly, helpful and always make people feel welcome! I would love to get together with some folks if you ever do get-togethers. For that matter, I live in Elk River just north of town. My wife and I would love to get together with some folks who just love to fish and blab about it...lol. Plenty of room here for a BBQ!

And anyone who would be willing to give a bit of a tutorial on Sonars, please let me know!

Thanks again guys for making this such a great place to hang out!!

I'd love to help you with the FL-8. It does take some time to get used to what you are looking at.
As to get-togethers,that is what every weekend is about.Getting together with different fisherman, hunters and the like. If you ever have time to drive 2 hours north,I'd take you out and put you in schools of fish. This next 6 weeks is killer for panfish.
I too think this is one of the better sites.Plus,Tap Tap Tap & his cohorts are really good guys so if you need anything I believe all you need to do is ask.
Have a great spring!!

I know the fl-10 is a dashmount. They also make make the FL-8 and 18 with a transducers that reads through the hull.I use my 8 in the summer and winter. In the summer I get a 3" dia.suction cup and tape the transducer to it and then stick it to the bottom of the transom.I can use it in anyones boat. It kills me to go trolling and have my driver spend all of our time off of the break , because his locator is not real time.I'll stick my ducer to the back of the boat and now we are on the break all of the time getting our walleyes. His boat, your boat, my boat no matter.
