Well, I wish there was an easy way to get rid of them myself but everything I have read is that it is almost impossible. They are similar to a lady bug, but called Asian Beetles. They get into your home through the smallest of cracks and openings lying dormant in the winter. As the weather warms they start coming out. Its one of those things...for every one you see in the house, there are hundreds more in the walls and attic. Good news huh? In the fall when they are active, my wife spends hours a day with a vacuum around the doors and lights. They come around the lights because of the warmth.

They are harmless but when they die in quantity, they can have a "dusty" smell to them and aggrivate people with asthma and respitory issues. On occasion, they do bite but only when they land on people that are sweating. Just a small pinch.

Anyway, I unfortunately know too much about these dang bugs.

Be sure all craks and openings around the house are caulked and sealed up. That should slow them down from entering the house in the fall.

The ones that bite are the Asian ones.. and they *DO NOT* have spots on them like a regular ladybug does.

Bug Max 365. Unless you live in a really airy house, this product should help a lot!!!
It comes in a red bottle, can get it at HY Vee, Bomgaars, etc. It has a residual effect. I spray it around my doors, soffit and frame or the doors. When the bugs touch it they WILL die. We have a loose front porch door, so they get inside and I have to sweep hundreds of them out. but they don't get into the main part of the house. Spray it any where you THINK they might get in. Like I say, it has a residual effect. One good spray session and your good through to the freeze. I spray really good when they start to show in the fall. I even spray all around the front deck and then they don't even come close to the door unless they ride in on you. Can you tell I hate these little buggers??? I will keep my eye open for that trap though.
