Hopefully this camera can stay above water...lol...same as BobberDowns????

I am curious about the lengths of these Fish the last couple years 12" or 13" was about as big as I've seen I am guessing there are some monsters in there again.

Good Luck.

I decided I'd invest in a good camera for posting on MYFISHINGPALS, So I upgraded to the Nikon SLR with an extra lens.

This weekend HungryDean and I will make a concerted effort to measure length of north-end BLACK CRAPPIES this time for ya there PierBridge.

The famous HungryJack is Deans Great Great Grandfather. I'll post the Lore in the fishing stories section.

Cheers

I just Talked to Hungry Dean, He says we will slay them at early sunrise. Take a nice long midday break, then go out at slay them again in a furry at sunset.

Well guy's I've made to your site.I have to say someone should have out Sunday. I know Saturday was slow, but Sunday Steve,Aaron and myself got our 30 crappies. When we cleaned them I pulled a measuring tpe to see what sizes we had.Almost half of them were over 12"s with the largest at 14 3/4".The high pressure that we had put off the fish, made them real tough to bite.Although this front that came in today had something to do with them picking up yesterday. I almost went out again this morning .but I needed to recover from my last 2 hard days on the ice.
I have got to tell you this story.
I met a guy like all of the other that fish.I explained the jig to him.He bought a dozen.Well now it is time to see how well they work.
He and his buddy drove up to rip me a new one on his tried and true method. After 15 crappies that Steve ,Aaron and I caught they switched over to the jig.Needless to say without the spring bobber and a good rod and reel they struggled to get anything at all.A few rockies was all.The comment I heard over and over was "don't you need a minnow",and I said no bait required. After we picked off a number of slabs they had no choice ,but to switch. WHY?
Down size is the answer. They started off with a swedish pimple that looks like the forage minnow, then a minnow head on the treble.
My little hair jig is half the size of the minnow head,so they saw what they had was tooo big and that is what alot of guys do. That is what the tackle industry teaches them.I have even been to the bait shop with hundreds of jigs only to hear that they are too small for their customer. What an excuse to keep the fisherman confused and lost going home skunked. It will not take too long to see for yourself.I'll include some photos and we can get into this in more detail.

Keith how are you doing buddy.

Welcome to MyFishing Pals glad to have you a board.

I still have my Spring bobber set up you hooked me up with a couple years back it out fishes all of my other poles at least 3-1 I have been looking at the St. Croix or Thorne Bros spring boober setup but can't decide which.

I'm just about out of your custom jigs I think I have one left we need to talk.
