FINALLY was able to get up in the Brainerd area last weekend. Lots of small stuff caught. Used mostly fatheads and plain or colored hook. I heard the action was slow on North, but they were catching some bigger ones. Tried some shiners too, but ended up going mostly with the fatheads. Fishied mostly about 30 feet. Was only able to get out one day, so maybe if I could have done a couple of days, we could of figured out how to get into the bigger ones. Saw a 30 incher pulled out of a neighboring hole. Boy, that made us fish all the harder, but quite frankly, we didn't catch anything over 12 inches.
We'll see what next week brings! Just glad to get out on the hard water and punch some holes!!!!
People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
