I fished the annual cystic fibrosis tournament a few weekends ago with CaptRon on Cass lake out of Break on the Lake. we had a great time, the weather of course was cold and windy, all in all it didn't matter, what matters is we fished a tournament for a great cause. and what a wonderful time I had. Thank you Steve and Julie. From what I heard is that this tournament raised over 10K for more testing and research. Excellent....... Seems to me every year that goes by more and more teams are showing up to fish this event, hopefully we will have the same or better turn out next year. now for the fishing report. it was slow for us others seemed to find the fish. with the minimum size limit of 15" we could only muster up a few fish to bring to the scales but we did have some that were close, really close. oh well we will get it next year. the bait of choice for us was the parrot or watermelon glow fireball from Northland Tackle tipped with a shiner or redtail.
Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
