(Crestliner, Mercury, Northland Tackle, Re-Action System, Lowrance, and LakeMaster) Docs first tournament Mobridge, SD May 28-30 PWT Tackle Tip: I use the Shiner Jig from Northland Tackle for minnows. This jig has a long shank so I can thread the hook through the mouth of a minnow and out the side of the minnow for short strikes. It works like a stinger hook. Northland has changed the hook to a thinner diameter which is better for hook penetration. The old style hook was thick (bass type). Bass anglers can set the hook on fish with any hook diameter; walleye guys are weaker and need thin diameter hooks to get penetration. Thank you Northland New Product Release For the Midwest users, LakeMaster has released the 2008 Minnesota high definition chip and the long awaited Rainy Lake, Rainy River and Lake of the Woods chip. www.lakemap.com For you South anglers, they are creeping south with Dakotas, Illinois and Iowa chips planned for release sometime in 2008.
