12/19/09 NAIFC Tournament Series
Boom Lake, WI
Series Championship

The NAIFC is a tournament series that spans the "Ice Belt". Each year some of the locations/lakes change but the NAIFC continues to promote ice fishing through competition and education.

Two person teams compete from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm on a given Sunday. At each qualifying tournament the top 10 teams (determined by total weight of fish) qualify for the NAIFC Championship.

The NAIFC Tournament Series is a great way to start tournament fishing. You do not need to be a Professional to compete. You just need to want to learn how to fish better.

A NAIFC tournament schedule includes educational seminars (you are not required to attend any or all seminars but they sure are worth attending).

Friday night seminar with a Nationally know speaker; i.e., a Dave Genz, Pat Smith,

Jim Hudson. After the speaker is done with their presentation/questions, the fishermen attending the seminar break down into small groups to discuss tactics, equipment and technique with the touring professionals. This is a tremendous opportunity to get up-close to the best fishermen & the hottest trends in the Nation.

Saturday you go out on the ice with the same Touring Professionals you talked to on Friday night. except now you get the hands on experience. Another tremendous opportunity that you cannot get anywhere else!

Sunday morning you compete from 8:00 am - 1:00 pm. After 1:00 pm the weigh-in starts. As you stand in the weigh-in area you are able to listen to how everyone caught their fish. Compare how they fished to how you fished. compare where you fished with where they fished. Yet another tremendous educational experience.

The ICE MEN Reality TV Show will be filming at every NAIFC Tournament site. Fish well and you have a chance for National TV Exposure!
